Diane M. Brewer is a Research Audiologist and Associate Professor Emerita at The George Washington University in Washington DC. She is a Licensed Audiologist in the District of Columbia, Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation Course Director and Fellow of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Research interests are hearing conservation and aural rehabilitation. She is Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) with the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Deaf/Hard of Hearing at Gallaudet University. Along with Co-PI Claire Bernstein a multi-site randomized clinical trial evaluating short-term aural rehabilitation intervention to maximize outcomes for adult cochlear implant users has been completed. In their current research project, Co-Principal Investigators Bernstein and Brewer are conducting a multi-site randomized clinical trial of the effectiveness of short-term AR delivered via a tele-health platform.
